On November 13rd, the appointment ceremony of visiting professor was held in Conference Room 302 of the Administration Building. Professor Shi Hui, doctoral supervisor of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology and member of the Environmental Science and Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, was appointed as a visiting professor in our college.
Cui Jingui, Secretary of the Party Committeeof our school, presided over the appointment ceremony of visiting professor Shi Hui. He expressed his sincere thanks to Shi Hui for being appointed as a visiting professor in our college, and introduced Shi Hui’s research direction, academic achievements and personal achievements to teachers and students. He said that the visiting professor, as an elite in the field, held the academic ideas and methods at the forefront, which played an important role in promoting the discipline and professional construction, personnel training and connotative development of the college. He sincerely hoped that Professor Shi Hui can use his academic expertise and exert his influence in the field to help the construction of high-quality application-oriented undergraduate college for our school.
Du Daolin, President of our school, awarded Shi Hui a letter of appointment as a visiting professor and wore the college emblem for him.
Subsequently, Shi Hui held an academic lecture entitled “Can Urban Vegetation Cut through the Smog-shrouded Sky?” for teachers and students. After the report, the teachers and students had interactive exchanges with Shi Hui on the issues of haze control, ecological restoration and food safety.
